I'm pretty sure most of my readers know that I am a professional photographer owning Pfann Photography. I have mentioned in other posts about Photoshop actions and how they can really add flair to your photos and require minimal knowledge of Photoshop. I have been working for a few months now on creating my own flair for my business. I absolutely love the Photoshop actions that I've bought and have been using, but I want to be unique. Creating actions takes time and patience because they don't just turn out. It takes knowledge of Photoshop and editing to create worth while actions. I have worked hard and spent many late nights working on these. I finally feel like some of them are ready for viewing! I am not going to share my exact workflow on these, but I am happy to share a few things that I have done to enhance my images for the best.
One of the things I consider very important is a nice crisp image. If you notice in my top row the subject is much sharper than the SOOC image. (for those of you who don't know SOOC stands for straight out of the camera). There are many ways you can sharpen an image. You can either go to filter-sharpen and choose one of those options, or you can copy your background layer go to filter-other-high press choose the amount you like then click ok. Once you've clicked ok highlight the layer then choose overlay instead of normal. Now you have a crisp image! Ta Da... Super easy!
