I have been working hard on really stepping up my game as a photographer on multiple levels over the past several months. I have been devoting more time to education and taking advantage of all the tutorials/classes I can get. Kelbytraining.com has been extremely helpful for me, and has taught me so much. I find the video classes/training very informative, and I have been putting what I learn to practice. Not only have I noticed that my technique has grown, but my confidence level has gone up too. I highly recommend checking them out!
Not only have I been working on my technique and education, but I've been working on my editing. I had mentioned awhile back that I wanted to create my own photoshop actions so that I could work on having a look that was unique to me. I have been working very hard on this, and have accomplished making several actions! I have been working extremely hard on these, and I do have some minor tweaking to do to them. I thought I would share the new look of Pfann Photography on here to show the advancements I've made!
So this is my original image. I do shoot in RAW so there are a few tweaks already made here, but this is basically what I shot without changing....
This is one of the actions I created. It's more of a simple edit for those images that just need a little pop. I love my vintage look that I have been creating, but sometimes a simple look is all you need.
This action is awesome! I went with more of a matte finish, but went in and removed part of it from the girls, so they would stand out a little more. This one also has a different tone to it than the first one.
I love this action too because it goes towards the vintage style that I love so much with sun flares and all. I normally go more towards a blue vintage tone, but in this one I went with a pink overtone, and I think it just pops!
This is the last one I'm going to share on here for now. Everyone loves a great black and white or sepia tone, and this one is great! It's definitely a sepia, and I love the way it turned out!
