First and foremost this blog is about learning how to advance. The best way to advance in skill and knowledge is to always keep shooting and always look for new resource. Once we stop trying to advance, we stop caring. There is always room to improve. I will list resources that I find helpful as I come across them, and I hope you, my readers also share the resources you come across also. This is about constantly growing, and being a photographer is also about networking. There are different levels of photography and many different levels of photographers from beginner to hobbyist to professional.
Secondly this is not a blog for you to just come to read and then out of nowhere start your own photography business. If that's why you have come here then just leave. I will not be sharing all of my secretes to my post editing for my business. I am sick and tired of all these businesses popping up because someone bought a DSLR and thinks that that's all it takes to have a photography business. There is so much more than just a nice camera to running a business, and all of these "businesses" are making people believe that professionals are overcharging when in fact most of us are undercharging based on the amount of time and resources we put into each session.
Last but not least. I am doing this because I want to share what I know
to help others the way I have been helped. I will be sharing things
I've learned and some of the techniques I use, but I will not be taken
advantage of. I expect my readers to understand that I am only trying to show the kindness that was shown to me, but I will not be a doormat for free information for some beginner to use for personal gain. I hope that people look at this blog with open eyes to
learn, not to steel.
Also I want you all to participate. Comment on my posts, ask questions, ect. This is a community for all of us to learn from each other.
