Welcome

I have decided to start a separate blog going through everything I have and am learning about photography.  I have been self teaching my way into my business and photoshop.  I love photography so much and thought this would be a good way to track my growth and maybe even teach others as I learn.

First and foremost this blog is about learning how to advance.  We must never stop trying to improve as that's a sign that you've given up.  No matter how skilled you are, there is always room to advance. The best way to advance is to always look for new resources.  I have been so blessed to have some amazing photographer's take me under their wing and teach me what they know.  I owe my improvement throughout the past few years to those who have been gracious enough to share their knowledge with me.

Secondly this is not a blog for you to just come to read and then OMG start your own photography business.  NO!  If that's all you're looking for just move on.  I am so sick of all these people buying a DSLR and then OMG new facebook photography website.  Having a nice camera does not make you a photographer.  A camera can only do so much before your own skill and creative eye become a factor.  Anyone can take a picture and run it through photoshop, but that doesn't mean you are qualified to be a professional.  I have been working and learning for years now, and I am just recently feeling like my pictures are adequate enough to consider myself a professional.

Last but not least.  I am doing this because I want to share what I know to help others the way I have been helped.  I will be sharing things I've learned and some of the techniques I use, but I will not be taken advantage of.  I hope that people look at this blog with open eyes to learn, not to steel.
