So I dedicated this portion of my website to anything and everything photography. I know I've been slacking on updating posts lately, but I am going to aim to change that this year. I would like to dedicate more time to my photography and growing talent. With that I would like to increase the amount of information I share on here.
With all of that being said, I found a new blog with some really awesome resources! The website is www.thecoffeeshopblog.com I must say that there are some really cool resources. The best part is that many of them are free! In today's world you can't beat free. I have spent a ton of money on photoshop actions for my business, so when I find good quality actions free, you better believe I am on that! There are tons of tips and resources other than photoshop actions.
To show how awesome this website is, I have taken a picture of my youngest daughter from one of her newborn sessions, and completely done all editing with actions and textures from http://www.thecoffeeshopblog.com/
Here is the original image I am using. This was taken in jpeg because this was before I learned about RAW and how much better it is! I was using all natural light coming in from my sliding glass door and window, so my image is a bit darker than I like.
So as you can see, Ava's skin tones are red (a very common problem with newborn photography), my background is darker than wanted, and you can see the wrinkles in the blanket across the top of the image.
Here are the different resources I used from Coffee Shop Blog.... Also remember anytime you use actions and textures, after you run them you need to change the settings individually for each image. The actions will look different on each image, and sometimes there are sections of the image that do not look natural with the preset action.
The top left image was the first one I edited from the original. I ran the Coffee Shop Baby Powder Room action. I then made my changes, and tada! you have image number 1.
Next I added to that by running the Coffee Ship Simply Vintage. I made my changes for this image and there's the second image (Top Right).
Finally I decided to add a texture from the Vintage Papers 2. I changed the opacity and masked it off of Ava. Now you have my final image! BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Thanks so much http://www.thecoffeeshopblog.com/ your stuff is amazing!
And here is my final image once more by itself!
I hope you have as much fun surfing her site and playing with her stuff as I did!
